    Executive Head Teacher

    Headteacher since 2005 and my job is one of the greatest in the world - to help others be the best that they can be. Deeply interested in leadership across all sectors and the role that effective coaching can have in developing staff.

  • Mrs Jade Yale

    Executive Deputy Head Teacher

    Hi! I'm Mrs Yale and I have worked at Abbey for 8 years and actually came to our school as a child too. One of my favourite films is Matilda and I like going to the theatre, particularly to see pantomimes. I love Christmas and will think nothing of starting to watch Christmas films in October! I have cheeky 1 year old twins, who keep me on my toes, and I love watching them learn new skills and develop their own, little personalities.

    Executive Assistant Head Teacher

    I'm Mrs. Sharp and I'm the Executive Assistant Head Teacher for Inclusion, so I am the SENDCo and one of the DSLs. I love skiing and I love reading, especially historical romances. I've got two children, Alex and Lucy, who are all growing up now. I have a great big fat cat called George, who I absolutely adore.

    My name is Miss Harwood. I am the Assistant Head Teacher for Early Years at Abbey. I'm a reception teacher but I also work in nursery. My favourite food is ice cream, my favourite colour is purple. I love listening to music, especially any current chart music and I enjoy spending lots of time with my sons at home. See you soon!

    Teacher - EYFS Forest school

    Hello, I'm Mrs Kentish but prefer, Mrs K. I'll be working most of the reception doing Forest School with everybody this year. My favourite colours are cool colours especially blues and purples. I enjoy being outside in nature, making things, drawing, painting and learning new stuff. I really love maths and science and art and most days I write in my journal and paint something. My favourite food to eat at the moment is home-made hummus. I love all kinds of corvids, especially crows. You might see me around school doing drawing and talking as a therapeutic program as well as forest school sessions with other year groups too.

    Hello, I'm Miss Bevan and I'm a teacher in reception in class Abbey. I've been at Abbey in both the juniors and infants for a very long time. My favourite food is anything Italian, especially pizza. I love lots of different types of music, even really old stuff from the 60s. I love drawing and painting and I love to read lots of books about history. My favourite character is Robin Hood.

    Hello, I'm Mrs. Gould and I'm one of the teachers in RG. In school I like to do Forest School and I enjoy reading books and stories to everybody my favourite authors are Julia Donaldson and Nick InkPen. Outside of school I enjoy eating Italian food, especially pizza and pasta or going out on day trips with my children and my favourite place to visit is the Black Country Museum.     Hi, my name is Miss Hinton. I teach PE at Abbey and I've worked here for many years. My favourite films are Sister Act and Home Alone. I like all kinds of music, everything from Stevie Wonder to the Stone Roses. In my spare time I really enjoy having a cup of tea and a piece of cake with my Nan and Grandad and also watching football.

    Hi, I'm Mrs Sanderson. I teach PE and gross motor skills in nursery and reception. I take fun fit in years one all the way up to year six. My favourite food is jacket potato and salad and I love going swimming.

    Hello, my name is Mrs Jones and I'm a teaching assistant in reception. I enjoy listening to Capital Radio and singing along to the songs very badly on the way to work. I like watching all the Marvel films and my favourite characters I am in. I love to eat Indian and Chinese food and go for meals on the weekend with Mr Jones and our two children.     Hi everybody, Mrs. Johnson here. I hope you're all well and I'm really looking forward to seeing you in September when we can start our adventure as 2J. Things to know about me, I love the bands Coldplay, Take That and Little Mix. I love eating steak and chips and fajitas but especially chocolate afterwards.     Hi, I'm Mrs Kaur and I'm a year one teacher. My favourite food is Italian food. I love pizza and pasta, especially macaroni and cheese! My favourite colour is purple and I enjoy listening to old school R&B music. My favourite films are Christmassy films like Elf and Home Alone and in my spare time I enjoy watching box sets, being in my garden growing my own vegetables and I enjoy going on long walks and discovering new adventures.

    Hello, I'm Mrs Brighton and I'm a Year 1 Teacher. I love being outdoors and going on long walks in the countryside with friends and family. I am very interested in nature and the environment and enjoy bird spotting, my favourite bird is the Kingfisher. My favourite food is salmon and rice and my favourite colour is green. I am a huge rugby fan and enjoy going to matches and supporting England.

    Hello, my name's Mr McGowan and I've been at Abbey for almost 20 years. My favourite film is a really, really, really, really old one called The Grapes of Wrath. My favourite food is pretty much anything, but I love Mexican food most. My favourite musician is a someone called Bob Dylan and my favourite cartoon is Scooby-Doo, of course. My qualities are that I really, really care about people and what they think and how they feel and I think that that's very important.

I enjoy reading and my favourite book is Alice in Wonderland. I value hard work, determination and perseverance. I am looking forward to ensuring that all of 5R do their best they can have fun!

One of my greatest achievements is winning a tennis competition a few years ago and I'm really looking forward to teaching year six as I have never done it before.
