RB's First Forest School Session

This week marked the first Forest School session for RB, and what a delightful start it was!

The children began with an exciting tour of the site, learning our fun chant: "no lick, no pick, be careful with your stick." They met Stog, Mrs. K's stick friend, and created their own stick companions, decorating them with spots, stripes, and even rainbows.

The children explored various activities like playing in the mud kitchen, digging, and raking leaves for jumping piles. They tested their skills on the obstacle course, crafted colourful potions with pipettes, and even caught mini rubber ducks with nets.

Everyone learned how to sit safely in the fire circle and enjoyed exploring the cosy bell tent. We enjoyed biscuits and warm squash at the end of the session.

This is just the beginning of six fun-filled Friday mornings in the forest, filled with laughter, learning, and a commitment to caring for nature and each other!
