A Morning of Adventure!
What a delightful morning we had at Forest School! It was a joy to watch our little ones dive into a world of exploration, creativity, and fun. Here’s a glimpse into the exciting activities that filled our time together.
We kicked off our morning with some energetic movement. The children started walking, jumping, and hopping, reminding themselves how to enter and exit the fire circle safely. It was a great way to get our bodies moving and prepare for the adventures ahead!
During our choosing time, each child had the freedom to select activities that sparked their interest. Here are some of the highlights:
- Palm Drills and Hammers: Chen eagerly took on the challenge of learning how to use palm drills and hammers. It was wonderful to see their concentration and determination as they crafted their projects.
- Conker Spiders: The children got creative making webs for their conker spiders. Watching them weave their imaginations into these little creatures was truly magical!
- Potion Mixing: The excitement bubbled over as they mixed potions with various natural ingredients. Who knew nature could be such a fantastic laboratory?
- Leaf Creatures: The kids transformed leaves into whimsical creatures, showcasing their artistic flair.
- Pumpkin Exploration: We had a fantastic time exploring pumpkins—feeling their textures and discussing their colors.
- Water Play: Painting with water and pouring different colors provided endless joy as they experimented with mixing hues.
- Mud Kitchen Fun: Our mud kitchen was a hive of activity! The children made delicious pies from mud, using their imaginations to create culinary masterpieces.
- Minibeast Adventures: Digging in the earth revealed a treasure trove of minibeasts. The children were thrilled to discover and learn about these tiny creatures.
After all that excitement, we gathered in the cosy bell tent for a well-deserved snack. It was heartwarming to see the children sharing their favourite moments from the morning—laughter and stories filled the air as they recounted their adventures.
As we continue our journey through Forest School, we encourage you to engage your little ones in conversations about their experiences. Ask them about their favourite activities or what they discovered about nature today.
Thank you for your continued support in nurturing your child's love for learning and exploration. We can’t wait for more adventures next week!
