A Wonderful Forest School Morning!
What an incredible morning we had at Forest School! Our little adventurers were fully engaged, curious, and buzzing with fantastic conversations as they explored the wonders of nature.
.We kicked off our day by hunting for sticks, reminding ourselves about safety while playing a lively game of hide and seek—“1, 2, 3, where are you?” The children moved around in all sorts of creative ways, showcasing their energy and enthusiasm.
The activities available were a hit! They crafted conker spiders using palm drills with Mrs. K, built spider webs from clay, sticks, and string, and eagerly explored the insides of pumpkins to collect seeds. Decorating leaves with punches and cutting tools was a favourite, while tweezers were used to rescue plastic spiders from a tray filled with conkers. The artistic spirit shone through as they painted mini pumpkins and created simple bird feeders. The water tray became a hub for boat-making adventures, while the sand-pit invited construction and digging.
Everyone pitched in to tidy up before enjoying a snack and diving into a story about a Robin’s journey. We even made a “sound storm” in the tent and played a fun game, identifying objects by touch. The children used such imaginative words to describe the properties of the objects!
We can’t wait for next session’s activities to spark even more creativity and exploration. Thank you for sharing this magical experience with us! It is getting colder so hats, gloves and layers are a must.
