RB Forest School Session 2
We had another wonderful morning at Forest School during our second session!
The children did a fantastic job remembering our safety rules, and they’re improving in the fire circle as we gear up for our big fire in session 6.
This week, we focused on knot-tying inside the bell tent. It was heartwarming to see their perseverance and resilience!
During choosing time, they explored a variety of activities, including threading cranberries, making flags, creating leaf garlands, wrapping sticks with wool, tying ribbons to make ribbon sticks, and using pipettes to craft autumnal trees.
They also had a blast with giant bubbles, obstacle courses, mud kitchen creations, and sandpit adventures. They even made cheerio bird feeders and played with leaves while finding worms!
After all that fun, we enjoyed biscuits and warm squash in the fire circle, sharing our favourite moments from the day. The children go in to get changed in small groups; those that stayed outside learned to play 'stick, stick, fire' which some knew as. 'Fox, fox, goose'. Next week promises even more excitement with sawing and dough play added to the mix.
As it’s getting colder, please remember to send your little ones in lots of layers, gloves and hats! Thank you the parent who kindly let me know I had a duplicate lot of photos from last week's session. It is lovely to know you are reading and getting to see the fun we are having learning about and connecting with nature.
Looking forward to more adventures!
