What a magical morning we had at Forest School!

With the sun shining through the trees, we started our day by greeting the friendly “Lime Tree”...
...and learning to identify three special trees: hawthorn, hazel, and rowan. The children’s curiosity was sparked as they explored the forest, choosing from a wonderful range of hands-on activities.
From planting seeds and making seed balls, to crafting peg-and-fabric butterflies and wriggly bead worms, there was something for every little explorer. Many got creative making mini-beast pictures with natural materials, while others used hand lenses to get a closer look at the tiny creatures living in our woodland. The mud kitchen was a hub of messy fun, and the sandpit transformed into a dinosaur park. Our water area was a big hit too, with lots of imaginative ways to move, carry, and squirt water!
We spotted butterflies, greenflies, and worms, and were delighted to see our wildflower patch starting to bloom. After working together in tidy teams, we gathered around the fire circle for a well-earned snack and biscuit, sharing stories and smiles.
